My husband was scheduled to have a gallbladder surgery in two days, but today the surgeon called him to let him know his labs show his bilirubin levels are high (2.). He wants to see him tomorrow and asked him if he feels sick. My husband does not feel sick, but has a mild discomfort on the right side of the abdomen and I think his eyes are a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummysyellowYellow fever vaccine Yellow nail syndrome. He also had Viral Hepatitis years ago.
The surgeon also told him that the sonogram shows he has many gallbladder stones. I have read that gallbladder stones can raise the bilirubin levels. Is this normalNormal saline flush?
I have just been diagnosed with gall stones and when my doctor gave me a blood test to check for any other possible problems, she said my bilirubin levels were quite high, which she did say is consistent with gall stones. Hope this helps.
