Gas, bloating Pain

For several months I have been having severe gas and bloating. The first time I felt like I was having a Heart attach and went to ER. They determined it was GI related. Gave me a GI cocktail and I went home feeling better. Several months later it came back again with lots of Beltching and pressure and just has not gone away. Went to DR and they did Ultra sound, H.pylori tests and sent  to Digestive disorder specialist. He did Endo and found stomach inflammation and did Biopsy with neg results.  Prescribe Omeprosol (?). Couple weeks of that with no improvement. Had CT with Contrast. Nothing showed up.  Still on the omeprosol and they recommended adding antacid in evenings.  Still no improvement. Gave up on that and went with Gas-X. That has helped some, But now I am waiting again a couple weeks for next appointment.   Gas and bloating are worse in the mornings after I get up. Actually seems to better the more I eat.  It does seem to come in waves where I have a few days that are really bad, then just days with lots of belching, but little pain or discomfort. I would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions, as I hardly ever hear back from the specialist and go weeks between appointments.

Thanks for comments and suggestions. Trying a probiotic daily now.  Limiting dairy and stopped the omeprizol.  It was doing nothing and I don't like taking a prescription that does not help

I have had a similar problem for over a year now. I have recently found relief by taking slippery elm powder from a company called Aluna's garden. Also have started a course of Symprove liquid which id a pro biotic and I have found some relief and a lot less bloating. The Symprove is tried and tested in clinical trials however its about £22 a bottle which last about one month, you take it for about 3months and then just take a top up dose now and again. So far so good, it seems to help, if all else fails I am going to see about getting help from Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

I agree. Stress can cause major stomach issues. It can talk awhile sometimes for your body to adjust when you quit dairy and gluten. It can cause inflammation and it can take awhile for the inflammation to calm down. You might want to give almond milk a try. It's what I went to when I quit drinking milk and I love it.

Seen specialist 2 times since March.  Initial consultation in March.  Endoscopy in April. Had Ct scan in May and Specialist didn't have another opening till June 24. So it has been another month..   still have had no dairy.   But still having issues.  Going to wait till Friday and try to have some milk then.    I really believe the stress of not knowing the cause and constant discomfort is making things worse.

I'm so sorry to hear you were in the hospital. When you had the scope done did they find any ulcers? Even if they did'nt at the time you may have developed one, or more, since then. This could be the cause of the bleeding.
When will you be seeing the specialist?

Well no dairy since noon on Friday and ended up in ER yesterday with bad abdominal pain.  Ran some test and found blood in my stool. Gave me GI Cocktail and sent home. Told to contact my regular Dr. And specialist.  So still belching and gas this morning after 36 hours with no dairy.     Still no known cause.

ditto on the gluten or lactose. I have both those problems and have a similar issue with the bloating, had all the tests done too, stomach infalmation blah blah blah, put me on the same meds, it helps a little but not always. My suggestion to you is cut out all dairy, and anything acidic (tomatos, coffee, orange juice, etc) it could be acid reflux or something like that.

This might be diet related. Talk to your Dr about the possibility of you being gluten sensitive, or lactose intolerant.
