Gas build up and pain in disabled man

I take care of a man who was in a v ery bad accident 28 years ago and we constantly have a struggle with his bowels and gas build up. He is having a very hard time at the moment and nothing seems to be helping his pain and gas build up. Any suggestions?

He has had a fleet, return flows, you name it.......its happened. I just tried warm water with a little baking soda in it, and it seemed to help somewhat. Do you know of any good prescription meds to help with excessive gas build up?

I dont know if you have tried this, but a Fleet glyceirn suppository helps a lot sometimes. Give that a try, let me know how you make out
