Gas lots of pressure and feeling of extreme tightness in throat

Hi!  I have been having some problems with my stomach the last few weeks.  It started with pain pressure in the mid upper stomach where the ribs end.  Sometimes the pain would be felt in my mid back.  I also have an extreme, very uncomfortable amount of gas.   I don't have heartburn, and I feel the best when I first wake up in the morning.  I also don't have much of an appetite.  I have gone to the doctor and have an endoscope scheduled for the 26th.  I have been taking gasx and prisolec as instructed by the doctor, until she can see what's going on.  I have not had the back pain or pain in the mid upper stomach since I have been taking the prisolec.  Lately I have been getting very bad tightness-pressure that I can feel in my throat, it seem to happen about 1/2 hour after I eat, but not always after each meal, and keeps progressing until I almost feel like my throat is closing up.  Usually if I can manage to get a few really good burps I feel better.  It's very scarry and the first time it happened I was afraid I was having an allergic reaction to something.  I also get a very small amount of mucus that I clear from my throat when it happens.

Does anyone know if this is caused by some kind of spasm or is just a terrible feeling from gas built up.  If it's from gas anyone have any tricks to get a good burp up.  The gasx dosen't really seem to help.

Thanks
Gail

If chiropractor said muscles were hard as rock, why didn't he offered some explanation or treatment? Your muscles are really so hard? Try it by yourself.  All your neck issues may be from acid. I recommend testing for H. pylori.

I don't have any heartburn, but I do feel a little nauseous and don't have much of an appetite.  I have lost a few pounds and just want to get my appetite back.  I just came back from my chiropractor and she told me the muscles in the back of my neck are like rocks.  I'm wondering if it could be caused by the prioslec I started to take 6 days ago.  Is muscle tightness a side effect of prioslec.  I also have a very dry mouth, since I started to take it.

Gas is probably from Helycobacter pylori infection of your stomach. Diagnosis is by a breath test, treatment is with antibiotics. Tightness in the throat is probably from the acid; it is a little unusual that you say you have no heartburn though.
