Gastric Bypass Surgery and possible blockage

I had gastric bypass surgery in 1981. Recently I have been losing weight in leaps and bounds and my dr is afraid I may have blockage down near my stomach and if I'm not better by my next appt, he is going to send my to a Gastroenterologist. See I would eat and then throw up. Today I am fine, but the day is young. I have been taking nausea meds and also cough meds today and they seem to have helped. Could someone help if they have ever had this problem before. I didn't feel that it was appropriate for the Lap Band Forum.

Would c/t scans or xrays show a blockage?  The reason I ask is b/c my mom had gastric bypass and is constantly throwing up.  Or does she need a scope?

My mother is having this same problem she has lost around 100 pounds in the last year. A month ago she had to be hospitalized because she was below 100 pounds(97). She is up to 108 now but far from better. Constantly throwing up as if the food isnt completely making it down. The doctor did a scope several actually but because he didnt see signs of gastric bypass surgery inside her stomach he seems to feel that isn't the cause but i have a hard time believing that.
