Gastric acids building up from a P.E.G. placement

My husband had a PEG feeding tube put in after surgery on throat cancer. Unfortunately gastric acids keep building up after eating from the tube in his stomach. After feeding,( even juicing) the stuff wants to come back up into the throat. We’ve tried cola’s with carbonation to try to ease.Any suggestions?
