Gastric emptying

I have posted here often concerning my miserable and chronic GI issues.
Long story short, was referred out of town to a specialist who did a Barostat something study and concluded I have rapid gastric emptying.  Usually treated with BP meds, but I am not a good candidate fir that.  Could not tolerate Nortryptoline so we are trying Prozac ( which I just started today) watching my diet and trying to eat small meals about every 3 hours or so.  Was also given Carafate, which I haven't used yet either so I am still at the beginning of the new plan and I do have less bloating, so far.
I tried to look up what causes this (I am 63) and basically see it is usually from some type of gastric surgery or some syndrome, neither of which I have had and I don't have dumping syndrome, thank goodness.
Was wondering if anyone else has this and will it ever resolve?
I had been tested positive fir bacterial overgrowth that 2 rounds of antibiotics didn't seem to help.

I know it's horrible. I do understnd because I have stomach issues myself.
Until your Drs can decide on a tretment plan I'm going to recommend a few things that are helping me. Aloe vera juice. You can buy it at almost any drug store. It really helps with the inflammation in your stomach. No dairy because it will make your stomach produce more acid. Yogurt, to get the good bacteria back in balance and the bad bacteria gone.. Carrot juice is also good and can be bought at almost any grocery store. Please think about giving all of these a try. I was taking Prilosec and it was doing nothing so my daughter recommeded these things to me and my stomach has been so much better.
You're doing the right thing with eating small meals.
I do hope you hear from the Drs soon. Having that kind of pain is so awful.

I have been on Omeprazole for a while.  I have been very sick all day trying to communicate with 3 damn doctors that don't talk to each other and don't agree on treatment.
It's horrible.  I just get sicker

It can take several days for the Omeprazole to start working. Did your Dr say if you can Take Pepcid AC? I don't have the same condition as you but the Pepcid seems to help more than Pepto Bismol.

No answers?  I again woke up this morning with horrible nausea, stomach ache and bloating.  Didn't take the Prozac today.  Took Omeprazole then Pepto Bismol twice and my Xanax, 1/2 pill.  Now, my mouth is extremely dry.  The doctor had given me Carafate and I finally broke down and used some.
After almost 2 hours, not much improvement, mouth drier and now getting a headache.  Ideas?
