Gastritis - Any advice?

Gastritis - Any advice?

For the past year Ive had severe nausea (though not actually vomiting thankfully), pain under by left ribcage which goes to my back, chest and left arm sometimes, loss of appetite and dizziness.  Im taking 30mg lansoprazole (once or twice daily depending on how bad it is), co-codamol and domperidone (for the nausea).  Recently I had an Upper GI Endoscopy and was diagnosed with gastritis and a small polyp in my stomach!?!  I already eat a very bland diet and dont drink alcohol though I do smoke approx 10 cigs a day - which I know can aggravate gastritis and I am trying to quit.

Any advice or personal experiences would be gratefully received.  Also does it just go away in time or am I stuck with this for life?

Any gastritis isnt normal. See a GI specialist. If you already see one get a second opinion.
