The endoscope proved that I am infected with gastritis and small irritations in the stomach. It was caused by H pylory infection, I am not infected with H pylory now because I treated it three years ago and the latest tests prove that I am not infected with the H pylory. The doctor advised me to use Motilium 10mg three times a day 30 minutes before meal for two months, and Librax two times a day for two weeks. I have been using these medications since two weeks and the only improvement is the nausea has gone. But I am still have the same pain in my stomach. I am 5' 4" and only 102 lbs, I have lost 22 lbs within a year and 5 lbs this month. Do you think that these medications can heal the disease or it is just for making me temporarily feel better. My internet reading convinced me that it will only make me feel better. I am suffering and so sad
I apologize, I had to be more specific about the events sequence. The endoscope that proved I am infected with gastritis was 20 days a go, and yes I am still suffering from this disease and the Librax and the Motilium are for this desease and I use it now.
My disease story is as follow: twelve years ago, I suffered from stomach pain, all the doctors I met was advising me to take Lansoprazole, or Amprazole, or Rantadine. No one of these medications helped me but my situation went worse with vomiting and severe pain and loss in weight. Luckily, three years ago a doctor told me that I am infected with H pylory and I used the proper medications and the H pylory has gone since three years. But even after I heal from the H pylory I am suffering from pain in my stomach within the last three years (no H pylory within this three years). Now the endoscope shows that I am infected with gastritis. This is my story with the pain in my stomach and I am now skinny, doctors where I live are very lack of knowledge. I did the last diagnose and endoscope and tests out of my country and in a very good hospital but I am no longer can contact them because I back to my home.
I am not from MI and not from the USA, I chose MI randomly because my city is not listed. I am not infected with H pylory. I treated it before three years. Now and I am suffering from gastritis.
treatment for mild gastritis. Antacids neutralize stomach acid and can provide fast pain relief. When antacids don't provide enough relief, medications such as cimetidine, ranitidine, nizatidine or famotidine that help reduce the amount of acid the stomach produces are often prescribed. An even more effective way to limit stomach acid production is to shut down the acid "pumps" within acid-secreting stomach cells. Proton pump inhibitors reduce acid by blocking the action of these small pumps. This class of medications includes omeprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, and esomeprazole. Proton pump inhibitors also appear to inhibit H. pylori activity. Cytoprotective agents are designed to help protect the tissues that line the stomach and small intestine. They include the medications sucralfate and misoprostol. If NSAIDs are being taken regularly, one of these medications to protect the stomach may also be taken. Another cytoprotective agent is bismuth subsalicylate. In addition to protecting the lining of stomach and intestines, bismuth preparations appear to inhibit H. pylori activity as well. Several regimens are used to treat H. pylori infection. Most use a combination of two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor. Sometimes bismuth is also added to the regimen. The antibiotic aids in destroying the bacteria, and the acid blocker or proton pump inhibitor relieves pain and nausea, heals inflammation, and may increase the antibiotic's effectiveness.
Thank you for the information, it prove my doubts that the medications i am taking are just for making me feel better for temporarily period and they are not a treatment. I'll keep using it until the specified period ends then will see what to do next. I can not travel to the hospital now.
