Gastroenteritis

My daughter is 14 months old and she has has watery diarrhea and vomitting. When she was born she was perfectly healthy, but once I had to return to work I began to give her formula and that's when she began to have these complications. She began to have watery diarrhea and vomit. I took her to the doctor and they said she had gastroenteritis, but it's been a while now and she is still the same? Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? Thank you.

Definitely check into switching her formula to something non-milk based.  It's very possible she has a milk allergy or intolerance, especially since you can pinpoint the beginnings of the troubles with you starting her on formula.

I hope you find answers and she starts feeling better soon!

You may want to check back with the doctor and consider the possibility that something in the formula isn't 'agreeing' with her digestive system and a more 'non-allergenic' formula could be tried. In the meantime, you may want to talk to relatives to find out if there is a history in the families of any food intolerance issues or possibly celiac disease.
