Gastroenteritis?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if I can get some assistance on an issue.

Last Thursday I was in the same room as someone who was recovering from gastroenteritis (this is the same as gastric flu yes?), on the friday night/saturday morning at 3am I awoke with crippling stomach pains and constipation followed by diarrhea which continued for about 2 hours, once I managed to fall back asleep I was not awoken again until I woke up in the morning, and throughout the day I did not encounter any more serious stomach issues (although it was still a bit sensitive) my stomach has largely felt the same since, fine normally, but after I have a drink or something to eat it feels slightly sensitive, but not painful a la my night problem. And physically I was feeling fine up until last night, when I began experiencing fatigue, muscle and joint ache, sore eyes, slight headache and found myself off balance... This has continued on to today, with cold sweats added to that, and the return of a bit of diarrhea (and just now, the seeming appearance of a bit of blood in my stools).

I do not feel particularly ill, I am able to do things as normally, I just generally feel drained, and find myself getting tired easy, but I still ache and am sweating, so am I suffering from a mild case of gastric flu? Should I make an appointment with my doctor or should it clear up itself?

The main reason I am asking this here is because I have a wedding to attend on Saturday, and my cousins 1 year old baby with there, and I am, of course, concerned about her catching anything from me (especially if it is gastric flu, which I have heard is bad among infants) so could anyone give me any advice?

Thanks
