Gastrointestinal bleeding cause free fuild in the cul-de-aac and left adnexa?

I have Superior mesenteric artery syndrome ..Because of that I now have a feeding tube ..I recently went for a pelvic ultrasound because of pain...The results came back as Moderate amount of free fuild in the cul-de-sac and left Adnexa ...I have no masses nor cysts my ovaries are normal size..No poping cysts etc..My question is would gastrointestinal bleeding cause that problem?

Momof2cuties, forgive me if I'm misinterpreting your question, but are you thinking/questioning that the fluid within the cul-de-sac and adnexa might be blood? it's typically not. GI bleeding would result in your seeing changes to the color of your fecal material. Fluids that are found outside of the organs that pool in the cul-de-sac or adnexa are a result of the output of fluids from other areas of the abdomen or from structures like a ruptured cyst, etc. These 'flow' through various routes around to organs to pool is slightly larger 'spaces' like the cul-de-sac, etc.
