Gastropresis

So I am a 22yr old Female. Who has been diagnosed with a VERY slow stomach. I had a Gastric Emptying scan done over a month ago. At that time my GI doctor decided to put me on domperidone 10mg, 4 times a day. The reason that I am so confsued about alll of this is that I am only 22 and I have had random epsiodes of vomiting and nausua and pain in the upper abdomen. Well I had started taking the domperidone, and I did ok the first 48hours, then it felt like someone was just taking my stomach and knotting it up, as well as I was still throwing up. So after a few more days I was still throwing up, so I had decided at that point to call my dr. And then I was put on a liquid diet for almost 2.5 weeks. I did well on the liquids but my stomach was still very bloated, and still nuasas and painful knots. So fastforward to last week. I was finally able to start eating solids after a week of liquids without throwing up. Well I was still taking the domperidone, but then stopped taking it last wed. after talking wtih my dr office and discussing with them what to do. I then have still been eating solids but still feel nausaus and still painful stomach. I am not waiting to see the GI doctor on the 18th. But still very confused cause they are saying that I have to deal with this for the rest of my life. And I dont like the fact that I am just unable to eat foods without feeling like im going to throw up all the time. Is their anyone out their with any advice on waht to do ?? I am only 22 and just very confused at my options. I cant take the domperidone anymore it makes me throw up but yet without it i still feel like im going to throw up. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm a 17 year old and I was diagnosed with gastroparesis less than a month ago.  I'm pretty knowledgeable because I've been dealing with GI issues for a long time.  Gastroparesis is usually lifelong.  The most common symptom is vomiting.  However, there are many other treatments to try.  Reglan is a common medicine to use for gastroparesis.  Also, if nothing works for gastroparesis, a stomach pacemaker can be tried.  For the nausea, you can ask your doctor about trying a medicine like Zofran.  Good luck!
