Could you please tell me what Geographic Tongue is, is it
pre-cancerous? What causes it? Is it treated and how, What to
do when it causes pain and the affected areas get larger with
each out break.

Dear Cathy,
Geographic tongue is a recurrent condition characterized by loss of papillae on the top of the tongue. Typically whitish areas surround a central, red, atrophic area. Lesions often migrate across the surface of the tongue giving a maplike appearance. The lesions may be uncomfortable but are usually asymptomatic. The cause is unknown; there is no treatment available. It is not a precancerous lesion. I hope you find this information helpful.
