Greasy film on toilet water

Greasy film on toilet water

Every so often I am aware of a greasy film on the water following a BM.  I still have my gallbladder.
And I am on a low fat menu and have been for many, many years.
I have Vit B12 malabsorption...which I manage with monthly B12 injections.
We have just now learned from Vit D testing, that my level is at the very, very
bottom of the scale.  I live in Oregon...sun is pretty scarce in the winter, but I am outside
more than most.
I began Vit D supplements about a year ago...taking about 1000.  No change in blood level
so was raised to 2000.   NO change, so was upped to 4000...and still, NO change in
my blood levels...still about 5.

I have read unsubstantiated opinions that Vit D should be taken with Ca++ and Magnesium
at the same time.

Please advise...and thanks.

Consider being checked for celiac issues and/or for pancreatic issues. Both can result in the oily film.

Celiac disease can also result in change in Vit D and B12 levels, as well as a host of other things.
