Green Stool

For about a week now I have been having a problem with my stomach. It feels upset at all times except for when i am sleeping. Also recently I have noticed that there is a green algea like coating on my stool. it has been like this for about a day or so. Is this something to worry about? should I see a doctor or is it normal? I haven't eaten anything purple or any leafy or green foods in a while so I am unsure as to why this is happening.

Mucus with diarrhea may be also in diverticulitis (infection of diverticula, which are most often in the descending colon, so on the left side of abdomen), intestinal worms, inflammation (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis).

If that green color was from bile, you'd probably feel some anal burning during bm.
