Gullbladder Questions

I am a 36 year old female. I have been having pain on my right side under my right rib cage for several months now.  It has become more of a nusence at this point.  It is aggravating and hurts.  I vomit a lot.  I am not sure if it wose when I eat certain types of food.  I have had a severe headache on the right side behind my right eye forever and it is killing me.  I can't take it anymore.  My gastro doctor ordered several tests, they all came back okay.  She is now sending me to see a surgeon about removal of the gullbladder (gallbladder), is this typical?  Please advise.  Thank you so much.

Pain in the right eye is one of the typical symptoms of gb disease. Your other symptoms fit as well.

Ultrasound of gallbladder is often negative, despite the disease. But I guess, you would need at least HIDA scan (ask a doc), before going for surgery.
