H. Pylori Blood Testing

H. Pylori Blood Testing

Diagnosed w/ H. Pylori back in July of 2009----blood work for H. Pylori antibody @ Kaiser and it was positve measured around 250 (Kaiser's normal range is 0-99).  I completed the Triple Therapy and my symptoms went away.  I also had an endoscopy in December of 2009 and was tested for H. Pylori again and it came back negative...

Now recently in 2011, I have been experiencing similar symptoms of the H. Pylori and again provided blood work for the same antibody test @ Kaiser.  The test came back at 160 and have been advised that I have H. Pylori again; scheduled to begin the Triple Therapy.

My question is:
Is the blood antibody test an accurate test to prove that the H. Pylori has returned OR would the test just show another positive test for the H. Pylori since I have already had the bacteria 3 years ago?

It really feels like I have it again but I want to avoid taking anti-biotics if the blood test is a false positive.

Thanks
