6 months ago, I also had trouble and and ultra sound test showed that I had gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed and all seemed to go well.  Resecently I've been in similar distress from some other gastro intestenal problem.  It's been hard to get an appointment to see my doctor.  I saw a NP who sent me to the ER because I had chest pain.  They did a few test; blood work, chest xray, ecg, and a CT. scan. and said they didn't see anything except sever constipation and dehydration.  They told me to take some fiber, drink a lot of water and go home and rest.  I have a few weeks before I can follow up with a real doctor.
First, how can I relieve this gas pain in my chest and back that feels like colic?
Second, can a CT. scan, see a peptic ulcer?
Third, when I see the doctor, what other tests should I want?  I have a metalic taste in my mouth in the mornings and sometimes a "fur ball" in my throat.  No cough.  I have lots of gurgling in my intestins and some nausia.  No vomiting.  No blood.  I swing from constipation to diarrhea with cramps.  Sometimes I am very hungry, other times I feel to bloated to eat.  I am in much distress and extremely tire most of the time.  I've lost about ten pounds in a few weeks.  I am a 44 year old women, slightly over weight, (25 lbs.)  I take no medication.  Not even a vitamin.  My diet is well rounded and not excessive.  I do not drink alcohol and have a minimal amount of stress.
