1. Amox/Clarith/PPI (in Helicure the Amox was substituted with Metro)
2. Doxy/Metro/Bismuth/PPI or H2
The first one has the fewest side-effects, so I prefer it. However, some types of H.Pylori may be resistant to Clarithromycin. For that reason, it's best to test the bacteria for drug resistance before prescribing Clarithromycin. Stronger antibiotics can be used if the initial treatment did not eradicate the H. pylori.
I went through 2 full treatments which didnt work, it was also unpleasant.
I went online reading about treatments for H.Pylori and read about Manuka Honey, from New Zealand which contains natural compounds with powerful antibacterial properties. I did not want to go through with more antibiotics again so I went to my local supermarket here in Australia and found they in fact stocked Active Manuka Honey with UMF +15 (+20 is the highest).
I took one tablespoon in the morning and one at night before bed. Within 2 weeks I had no symptoms but kept taking it for the next 2 weeks (its tasty too). I had another test and found no traces of H.Pylori.. That was 2 years ago and had no further cases of it ..
