HELP PLEASE

by Greg OKonski, Nov 21, 2000 12:00AM
Late May I was diagnosed with stomach cancer.  Surgeon removed 40% of stomach, some intestine, gall bladder, and a few lymph nodes.  Cancer returned in lymph nodes and liver. Have been thru 2 sessions of chemo (ELF).  Last week had a cat scan and chemo has not stoped the cancer.  Chemo people have given me a time line of 4-6 months before ball game is over.  Does anybody have any constructive ideas or suggestions .... I'm desperate.  Have heard of endostaton (SP?) or C522 but cannot find any info.  Is anybody aware of any type of phase 1 testing.  I am a male and just turned 49 and am not ready to check out yet.  HELP!

Dear Greg,
I suggest that you contact the leading cancer hospitals e.g. Sloan Kettering in NY, M.D. Anderson in Houston to learn if they are involved in Phase 1 studies or if they can recommend institutions closer to your home.

This information is presented for edcuational purposes.  Ask specific questions to your personal physician.
