HELP

  My name is Shirley, a 53 year old female.
  I’m a kidney transplant patient (transplant 1978).
  Medication cytoxan 50mg a day & prednisone 5mg.
  Hep C contracted in 1977
  Cervical cancer, 6 of 1996, two years free of cancer.
  I have recently had blood work done, bad news.                                                                                                        
  Alpha-fetoprotein 97.8
  Alpha-1-antitrypsin  222
  GGT- 130
  Bilirubin direct  0.5
  SGOT  217
  SGPT  134
  MCH  33.3
  Platelet  107
  Absolute Lymphocytes  823
  I’m told by my Doctor all indications point
  to liver cancer, so I took more test.
  C-T Scan and ultra sound, nothing was found!
  No other symptoms other than tired fatigue
  I need information?, is there any case history
  out there similar to mine.Any suggestion’s
  or information would be helpful.There is
  something wrong, I need HELP.

dear Shirley,
You should discuss with your physician the possibility of obtaining other imaging studies e.g. MRI of the liver.  Ab liver biopsy may also be needed.
