HIDA SCAN created huge nausea
Hello,

I just had a HIDA (gallbladder) scan this morning.  They gave me the stuff that is like eating a hamburger but put it into your vein.  It caused HUGE nausea - could that be a sign that I have a blockage or inflammation of the gallbladder?

Thank you!

Maybe. Unfortunately, nausea and cramps are common side effects of the CCK portion of the HIDA/CCK, so just having nausea is not much of an indication.
