HIDA Scans

HIDA Scans

I am 28 and for years have had trouble with heartburn and just being able to process food.  A few months ago I started having major stabbing pain whenever I ate.  I had a HIDA scan and it showed that my gallbladder was functioning at 0%.  I am scheduled to have it removed to help stop the pain but my family is against the removal and feel that a more natural route is the solution.  I am just not sure which way to go.  Any suggestions?

Hate to say it, but there is no 'natural' way to go if your gallbladder is not functioning. The gallbladder is not able to be jump-started, and if there's no function whatever bile is in the gallbladder is sitting there and possibly going to cause problems in the long run due to 'pooling' and stagnation.
