im a 21 yaers old male. Im not over weight i even think im a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys under weight. I work out regularly. i dont smoke nor drink. My blood pressurePressure ulcer was highe 140 on 95. I did blood tests, everything was in range except the cholesterole was 218 and the total bilirubin was 1.25 (direct bilirubin 0.44 indirect bilirubin 0.81)
My pressurePressure ulcer now is back to normal i gues it was a stress thing. Why are my blood values high like that?
I'm wondering why your doc actually did a bilirubin test since bilirubin in adults is typically measured to diagnose and/or monitor liver diseases or other conditions such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, or gallstones. Or if patients have sickle cell disease or other causes of hemolytic anemia and may have episodes where excessive RBC destruction takes place, raising bilirubin levels. Do you fit any of those categories? Or are you having any right-sided pain or change in bowel habits?
As for the cholesterol, does your doc think you may not be eating well? Or do either your mother or father have a history of high cholesterol? If so, maybe your doc is trying to ask you to watch what you eat so that you don't end up developing cholesterol problems.
That type of blood work is part of (General Chemisty) some Dr."s do it on a regular basis others don't. Anyway my bilirubin a few months ago was 1.30 then droped to 0.8 and this month it was at 0.7 so that changes . Cholesetero can come down by changing your eating habits. There are quite a few recipes or diets on HOW STUFF WORKS on google. fI wouldn't worry to much . If he seemed concerned. He will probably do the blood work again. Your blood pressure is quite high he will probaby keep on eye on that. Your way to young to have HBP. Keep in touch.
