HIV+ with frequent, foul-smelling gas

I am a 38yo HIV+ male with a chronic gas problem. I work in the restaurant business, so this bad gas problem is really embarassing, to say the least. What causes frequent (every 2-3 minutes, 100-300 times daily) gas production and what is the cause for EXTREMELY foul-smelling gas? I have tried every dietary recommendation I could find with no luck and I'm wondering if this is something pathological instead? Please help! Thanks.
