Had HIDA Scan today- Have questions.

I had a HIDA Scan today.  Apparently, the saline reached my gallbadder fine,but it took about 30 minutes for it to move through my gallbladder.  The techs had me walk around for a while in the parking lot and try to think about food to get things going.  As soon as it started moving through the gallbladder, I got the familiar abdominal pain.  The tracer was injected and the pain got a little worse and I had a little nausea.  

Why would it take a while for the saline to go through my gallbladder?
Would a healthy gallbladder hurt with the HIDA?
Can you have green urine with a gallbladder condition?

The same thing happend to me when I had mine. But I was laying there for an hour and it didn't show up, so they had me walk around for awhile and it finally came up on the screen. I also had pain after the injected me and ALOT of nausea! My gallbladder was working 16%. The tech said that 95% of people get the nausea even if the gallbladder is working fine, but the pain is more for people that are having problems. Also, he said that a healthy gallbladder will show up on the screen within 30 min. I don't know about the green urine, but my stools were different, more yellowish.
I hope you get the problem fixed! I know how misserable gallbladder issues are! I just had mine taken out last week.

i had a gallbladder ultrasound and it was fine. i had the hida scan today but it did not hurt much? havent got the results back yet but most say if the gallbladder is bad it will hurt. does this mean my gallbladder is normal even with all the pain i am having?
can anyone help

I had a Hida Scan last week and my ejection fraction was 48%.  I did have a little bit of pain as the second injection was administered, and quite a bit of nausea, but it didn't last long.  My doctor said the ejection fraction was ok, but that it had taken quite a while for the "stuff" to actually go into my gall bladder, which leads him to believe something is going on, and that having my gall bladder removed may help me feel better.  Could something other than the gall bladder have caused the delay in the "stuff" going through since it seemed to exit fine?

As I understand, if it took a while for the stuff to go into your gallbladder, having it removed would help. If not removed, it would eventually go bad causing more pain and end up being removed anyway.

I got my results back and my ejection fraction was 15%!! wow no wonder I am suffering so much. He is referring me to a surgeon. Some say with a fraction so low, they still may not remove it. Hopefully with all the sickness and trouble I am having, they will. Praying this will stop the madness!!!

Last year I commented about the headaches I had been experiencing, accompanied with a "drawn" feeling in my right eye.  I have been seeing a neurologist for these  headaches and am being treated with high doses of Magnesium Lactate, and Vitamin B2 to try to prevent the headaches.  I am also being monitored to see if I have MS.  (From what I understand, they try to rule everything else out before they hand you that diagnosis.)  Anyway, the pain behind my right eye has become a daily thing, as is difficulty with focusing my eyes, and now I've notice that at times the pupil in my right eye is larger than the one in my left.  I have an appointment with an opthalmologist next week, but can anyone tell me if they have heard of anything like this?  It's really beginning to concern me.  My mother passed away when she was 33 years old from a brain tumor (caused by metatastic melanoma) and at one point one of her eyes was very drawn, so naturally I think of her when I experience this.

I just had a HIDA scan done on Wednesday.  It did start to hurt about 7 minutes after they did the CCK part.  My injection fraction came back at 77%.  But, it still hurts.  Can it still hurt and be functioning fine?  Good Question.
