Had a TEPP procedure performed 3 weeks ago for a bilateral inguinal hernia. A week later, I noticed my abdomen started to swell up a bit on the left where the more prominent hernia was located. I assumed this was a seroma, which I discussed with my surgeon on the follow-up. He did a check on both sides and said that he thinks it's ok.
Since then, I've noticed a hernia like lumpLumps in the breasts in my scrotum (which I had before) which is causing the same pains as before. It also reduces when laying down, at least when I tip upside down.
I'll be seeing my GP next week and I will discuss it with him. Thing is, I was sent to a private hospital but on the NHS, so I think from now on I have to go to my GP instead of the surgeon directly.
Thanks to anyone who can give me advice if you have any insight or experience with this.
i had incisional hernia open mesh repair 8 weeks ago.. within a few days of the compressionCompression of the median nerve Cpr - adult Cpr - child (1 to 8 years old) Cpr - infant bandages being removed the lumpLumps in the breasts was back with vengence - bigger than before felt pretty much the same as the hernia. the dr told me it was a seroma - collection of fluid at the wound site - and that it was bulging out as the skin was already stretched in that area. it is only just beginning to reabsorb and is now smaller and softer and getting more comfortable. i can do the jacket of my work suit up know (1st time in 6 months) so i am feeling better about things and no longer worrying.
hope your problems have resolved and you are feeling better.
