Has anyone heard of Aloe Vera Capsules for stomach

I am a 55 year old female who has suffered stomach problems my entire life.  Lived on Donatol as a child and have had many times of stress which has lead me to lying down with severe gas pains.  I have been told by my drs. that I probably have IBS but have never had full testing.  I know of course I should.  After a recent stressful time, I started with some stomach pain, constipation (which is better) and now seem to have a lot of gas and intestinal discomfort mostly in my upper stomach after eating.  Starts to feel better once it travels a little further down and definetely in the morning when my stomach is generally flatter.  Ive tried acidolpholis, zantac, and now I aloe vera capsules  Anyone know if aloe vera can help stomach?  Tonight I thought I was feeling better until I had a glass of wine and developed a stomach ache.  Wine was never a problem.  Why would it be now?
