Heart or gallbladder

by melissa3691, Oct 15, 2008 11:44PM
About 2 months ago I started feeling a burning in my chest and pain in my upper adboman and burping alot.
I went to the Er the Dr did blood work and a ekg to check out my heart all test normal they sent me home.
2 days later same pain but this time I felt like I was going to pass out and  felt short of breath also sweating with the same burning I had it all.
The dr told me  had gerd put me on Omeprazole and told me I had to much stress they again sent me home.
the next day I was back at the hospital in more pain I felt like I was going to be sick with my chest burning for over 3 hours and burping and pain in my upper abdoman They did all the same test It was not my heart I was admitted into     the hospital. The next day they did a stress test and a hydascan. The stress test came back fine but the scan  showed my gallbladder as they put it was working slower then normal whatever that means. I am sitting up everynight sick with the same trouble What I want to know is Even though the stress test came back normal could I have a block in my artery could it be my heart or does my sysmptons not match. I should also say I am 34 today and only 10 pounds over weight  my cholesterol is low and I have had Ibs my whole life. but my father had a heart attach in his 30"s. thank you I am worried

hi, first, the stress test would have picked up any blocked arteries, remember that heart attacks can occur without having blocked arteries, having said that, the technology today with respect for checking heart conditions are very good, i think you should ask for a h-pylori breath test and also an endoscopy to check for gastritis as well as a hiatal hernia,(part of your stomach potrudes through your diaphram) its reversible though. cheers.

I had to go to ER for the same reasons: drilling and  burning pain in my chest.
If it happens again, I won't go there again. Because it's not heart related problem, at least for me, it's GERD in severe form. I wish I could help you with some advice, but I am suffering chest pain as we speak. I am trying to find help myself. If you find the answer first, please post it right away.
