Hi there!

Well, without knowing the relevant clinical details such as the severity of the condition, presence/ absence of other comorbidities etc., it may be difficult to comment specifically on the situation. Though food allergy may aggravate reflux, it is unlikely to be the primary cause and hence though avoiding food items may cause partial relief of symptoms, it is unlikely to provide a complete cure. If the symptoms are severe and not relieved by conservative management, surgical options may be considered. I would suggest discussing the situation, the suggested management plan and the expected prognosis in detail with your treating doctor.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
