Heartburn & Chest pains

Heartburn & Chest pains

Hi

I often get a dull pain on the left side of my chest, moving into my arm-pit, radiating into my elbow and causing a feeling of weakness in my fore-arm.  Could this just be normal heartburn and how does heartburn cause pain in such an awkward place/way?  I get nervous when it comes to chest pains, as I have heart-valve problems and had heart-palpitations last night but because I get a miriad of different aches and pains (especially due to costochondritus) I try not to jump to conclusions.

Should this be a concern or could it just be something silly like gas?
