Heartburn city - not allowed to take antacids, what else can I do?!

Heartburn city - not allowed to take antacids, what else can I do?!

I know this isn't nearly as serious as so many others on here but I was hoping someone could help me out. I have terrible heartburn tonight and I'm not allowed to take antacids because I'm on Entecort for my Crohns. Is there anything else that will help with heartburn?? I feel pretty yucky tonight. :(  and it's too late to call the doctor's office.
Anybody got any good suggestions? Thanks so much.

I have heard that a spoonful of vinegar or eating an apple are both good natural heartburn remedies.  I usually just drink a glass of milk and thet helps.  Try them all out and see what works for you.  Good luck :)

Almonds. This is the best solution to all heart burn problems. Natural, not roasted, toasted or coated. I've been taking them for a few years now. I used to suffer really badly and heard about this from someone and it has changed my life. i hate all those rennies, alkaseltzers etc, that never even work anyway and are bad for you. Almonds are very good for you and after a couple months i now hardly get heartburn. I probably have a packet a week and only when i have had a couple pints. Almonds can be found in the home baking section of uk supermarkets. When you get heartburn take a handful, grind it into a paste and swallow. That should see you through the day. If you have really bad heartburn you might need another handful and that should do it. After a couple months of almond taking i realised i was getting less and less heartburn. In fact i got heatburn one afternoon 3 days ago whislt shopping so bought some but have not even opened the packet yet because its so mild these days.
