Help - can't be cured!

I contracted Giardia Lamblia.  It took a long time to diagnose what was wrong with me.  I'm a North American and I guess we are not expected to get it.  By the time the doctor's treated me I was so sick I could only consume liquids.  I had a bad reaction to the first two pills and the third pill worked.  I'm free of the parasite for a year now but I'm not recovering.  I've had a colonoscopy and other tests.  The doctors do not seem to know what to do about me not being able to recover.  They just get irritated with me.  My latest attempt was to eat fiber and baby food but my stomach rejected that as well.  I vomited and my food had not even been digested even though I had eaten it six hours previous.  As a matter of fact, the baby food (apple sauce and oatmeal) had solidfied and had a mucus coating around it.  I can't get the doctors to take me seriously.  The gastrologists are so swamped it takes two months to be seen when I make an appointment.  My personal doctor just gets mad.

Your personal doctor is an *sshole for getting mad. The doctors that get irritated with you are too. You are sick and wanting help is not unreasonable.

You may have gastroparesis as a result of having/having had giardia.

Find some new doctors, Both primary care and GI.

You need to get a new doctor! A doctor that will take the time to listen to your concerns and treat you with respect!
