Help, Diarrhea for weeks now, What is wrong?

For the past 3 weeks I have been suffering from loose, watery stools that I cannot control. My doctor did stool tests for a number of parasites and possible factors, and it came back negative. I'm currently taking an antibiotic but have not yet experienced a formed stool yet.

My doctor next suggestion is a colonoscopy. I'm only 27, could that really be necessary at this age? Could it just be the antibiotics causing this? I can say after starting the antibiotitcs i have been able to control it a little bit.

Yes, you need a colonoscopy.  Crohns can start at a very early age.  Even pre-teen.  Need to rule it out.
