Help-Anxiety,Stomach Gas,gurgling,Bowel

Hi guys i am terrifying right now i cant even type..i've had gas issues way back when i was a kid..
it was all cured..but this is severe..
by the beginning of the new year 2011 I got this severe gas problem in my stomach
it was irritating my stomach for 5 days... this time it didnt go away..
my bowels are also messed up..I had incomplete bowel movements
which I feel sometimes i am constipated..sometimes it's semi loose and thin.stomach is not bloated or anything..
but i have gurgling noise in my stomach..i hear bubbles when i go to sleep..and i cant sleep and i constantly burps..no vomiting though but it feels nauseated sometimes..i had some maalox at that time and i was relieved..
i felt i came back to normal.i was able to eat food and didnt felt gassy..i used to eat lots of chocolates .
since i was normal for almost 2 weeks i started eating chocolates too like i normally do but then later this week i lost my appetite..the problems went away for a while but for the last few days they have returned.
..why is it coming back?
but i don't think it s not because of the chocolates..i didnt eat too many, ..there is something else ,
the gas feeling is not going completely.i stopped eating all those food that causes gas..but not much difference why?? :((..i have it right now..and i went to the restroom several time a day since i cant go completely at once..i have burping, gurgling & squeaking noises in the stomach..
now the problem is I got doctors appointment tomorrow..
unfortunately i have a serious anxiety to go to doctors..i dont want to get any serious illness..
i ci cant face it..iknow lots of tests are going to come up..oh god.i am only 19 years old this
is the problem all I think about and worry about, I cant focus on anything else because of it.
i am just so nervous and scared..it s wearin me down mentally and physically..
i need help ease my mind about going to the doctor.
i feel like i am at risk..helpppp :(((

What were the results of your doctor visits.  I assume they relieved your anxiety and so you never came back but I'm curious.

Thanks.

i have all the same problems, im a 17 year old male athlete. and had gas problems since birth. never really had problems at all through my teen years and now is suddenly popping up again. i remember it used to be more of heartburn but now it is all stomach gurgling, bloating, pressure etc. nothing really much to stress about tho. were young, if theres no blood or any other severe signs i wouldnt be too worried. im also going to see a doctor tomorrow. hopefully he can prescribe a med to help these symptoms.

Hi there,

My assumption is that because the Maalox helped you in the past and considering the symptoms you listed, it is mostly likely a case of acid indigestion, either from something you are eating or too much stress. (In many cases, both!)
It is very common and easily treated with a few minor adjustments in your diet, as well as better stress management.
Here is a list of foods to avoid. You should notice an improvement immediately:
Refined flour products: White bread, pasta
Grains: White rice
Sugary cereals and desserts: Cakes, pies, cookies
Sugars: White and brown sugar
Beans: Soybeans, chickpeas, red beans, garbanzos
Red meat: Beef, mutton, pork, cold cuts
Fatty fish: Salmon, carp, herring, mackerel
Crustaceans: Lobster, shrimp, mussels
Condiments: Capers, pickles, pimentos, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise
Fats: Hydrogenated margarine, lard
Beverages: Coffee, tea, chocolate milk, sodas, tomato juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, wine, strong spirits

And find a way to manage that anxiety of yours! Take time for yourself each day to do something you love. Control the thoughts that trigger these symptoms and replace them with thoughts that serve you instead.

If you need anything else, don't hesitate to send me a message.

All the best,
Brittany

It sounds a lot like my symptoms. I was diagnosed with ibs which anxiety can bring on the symptoms of it. The tests really aren't that bad. I was incredibly terrified and anxious about them but they were easy and over quickly. Try to relax. At 19 I doubt anything is seriously wrong but if there is its better to find out and have it treated than to let it go and get worse. Good luck and keep your head up. Anxiety ***** but you'll feel much better once you have tests done to find the cause of your symptoms.
