What were the results of your doctor visits. I assume they relieved your anxiety and so you never came back but I'm curious.
Thanks.
i have all the same problems, im a 17 year old male athlete. and had gas problems since birth. never really had problems at all through my teen years and now is suddenly popping up again. i remember it used to be more of heartburn but now it is all stomach gurgling, bloating, pressure etc. nothing really much to stress about tho. were young, if theres no blood or any other severe signs i wouldnt be too worried. im also going to see a doctor tomorrow. hopefully he can prescribe a med to help these symptoms.
i got my check up..and took blood test...also for thyroid and h pylori ...results are not out yet...i am freaking out here...forgot to mention i also had irregular periods sometimes...my weight also lost some amounts... I can't stop thinking about this ..i fear if this is something serious...
thanks for the tips...nyways i decided to go to the doctor..but i always think all this symptoms can lead to serious illness...I was a happy person before..didn't get much anxious for anything..since my stomach problem started i cant sleep..:(
Hi there,
My assumption is that because the Maalox helped you in the past and considering the symptoms you listed, it is mostly likely a case of acid indigestion, either from something you are eating or too much stress. (In many cases, both!)
It is very common and easily treated with a few minor adjustments in your diet, as well as better stress management.
Here is a list of foods to avoid. You should notice an improvement immediately:
Refined flour products: White bread, pasta
Grains: White rice
Sugary cereals and desserts: Cakes, pies, cookies
Sugars: White and brown sugar
Beans: Soybeans, chickpeas, red beans, garbanzos
Red meat: Beef, mutton, pork, cold cuts
Fatty fish: Salmon, carp, herring, mackerel
Crustaceans: Lobster, shrimp, mussels
Condiments: Capers, pickles, pimentos, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise
Fats: Hydrogenated margarine, lard
Beverages: Coffee, tea, chocolate milk, sodas, tomato juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, wine, strong spirits
And find a way to manage that anxiety of yours! Take time for yourself each day to do something you love. Control the thoughts that trigger these symptoms and replace them with thoughts that serve you instead.
If you need anything else, don't hesitate to send me a message.
All the best,
Brittany
It sounds a lot like my symptoms. I was diagnosed with ibs which anxiety can bring on the symptoms of it. The tests really aren't that bad. I was incredibly terrified and anxious about them but they were easy and over quickly. Try to relax. At 19 I doubt anything is seriously wrong but if there is its better to find out and have it treated than to let it go and get worse. Good luck and keep your head up. Anxiety ***** but you'll feel much better once you have tests done to find the cause of your symptoms.
