I am a 42yr old female in perfect health. The last 3 months I have been experiencing severe pain in my left upper abdomen(stomach) area that radiates through to my thoracic spine. The pain is mostly in upper left quandrant. When I eat a spicy meal, within 10 seconds of swallowing I have a sharp, intense pain in a pinpointed area. The pain is the same everytime. I have had colonoscopy, Ct scan, MRI of abdomen, and Xrays. I have tons of blood work including that for pancreas and liver. All blood work was good. Can anyone please tell me if its possible to have severe gastritis or ulcers for that length of time? I have been taking PPI and Bentyl along with carafate. What were all your ulcer symptoms and could they cause excruciating pain for 3 months?
