I had gall bladder surgery in March of 2009 and Ive been messed up ever since and trying to deal with my problems. After my surgery i have had severe diarrhea, pain, cramping, vomiting, and sick 24'7. I used to weigh in at 242 pounds and from constantly having diarrhea I weigh 160 now. Im sick all the time and don't go anywhere cause Im scared I'm gonna have to run to the bathroom. I had to file for SSI because I cant work with this problem. I constantly get migrain headaches too. Ive been to the doc and the hospital numerous of times and they cant figure out what is wrong but they know something is. Now from having diarrhea I have infected hemmorids so now I'm going in for another surgery this week to have them removed. I cant deal with this anymore and am very depressed. I have two boys to take care of and it is hard for me but I do it. I am so sick of being sick and was wondering if anybody else dealt with this **** after the gallbladder. What helped me from the pain and diarrhea was vicodin cuz it would clog me up for a few days and I wouldnt feel the pain in my stomach. My doc cut
me off of it and now wont give me anything to deal with the pain in my stomach. I feel like I'm going crazy and I cant take it anymore. I dont know what to do and feel very alone. Please give me some advise on what to do, or let me know if Im not the only one. Thank you
Many people have problems processing fats after gallbladder surgery. Have you tried following and staying on a low fat diet? It may be of help. If the diarrhea still can't be controlled, you may want to talk to your doc about using questran, a bile-binding resin.
If you're having pain in the URQ, the same area where a 'gallbladder' attack would happen, and if that pain is of the intensity and quality of a gallbladder attack, then you need to find a doc who will do an MRCP and measure your liver and pancreatic enzyme levels during the time of a painful
