Hemachromatosis, high blood pressure

Does hemachromatosis cause high blood pressure? I always had low blood pressure until just before I was diagnosed with hereditary hemachromatosis. Then I had several episodes of tacicardia and am taking 2.5 mg of Lisinopril and 180 mg of Verapamil daily, my blood pressure ranges from 137/85 to 156/95. My pulse ranges from 80 to 104. This seems very high to me since my blood pressure used to be from 115/72 to 125/77. I don't know what my heart rate was before. When I call my cardiologist, I never get past the nurse who tells me that it's okay, it's not that dangerous. I know I don't feel well most of the time. Lately, my iron has been going up, not down, even though I'm having a monthly phlebotomy.
When I had weekly phlebotomies, I felt very anemic and couldn't do anything. I am a 63 year old female. At first, a monthly phlebotomy was taking my iron down about 50 points each time, but three times it has gone up between 15 to 35 points, even though I don't drink alcohol, don't eat red meat and don't take Vitamin C. I am wondering if my iron level is what is causing my blood pressure to go up. After my last phlebotomy, my ferritin was at 385. It was at 823 when I was diagnosed last March. Any advice would be appreciated--especially about my blood pressure. Thanks
