Hemorrhoids Please Help Symptoms

by Lakers, Jun 01, 2001 12:00AM
I am scheduled for a hemorrhoidectomy on 6/11.  I have interanl and external hemorrhoids but no bleeding.  I have had them for years.  I checked the Net for symptoms and most talk about bleeding and itching.  This is all I ever see with regard to sypmtoms.

I have mostly burning in the butt area as well as referred burning in the groin and penis area.  Has anyone ever heard of this.  My doctor says he sees it all the time but why do I find no mention of my symptoms anywhere on the Net?  Thanks.

Listen,,, I am not a doctor, however what I think you are describing is jock itch... Its not a disease, merely a common fungal infection that gets at people who sweat a lot. Have warm baths and use canestan and tinactin--I have the same thing.. I am a normal 20 year old who gets it now and then... good luck

How did your operation go?  I'm scheduled for next week because of bleeding.  I've had a problem with Grade I and II hemorrhoids for years and I'm severely anemic because of the bleeding.  I'm terrified of the surgery, but I'm going thru with it because I'm so tired of living like this.  I've been going in for hemoglobin counts every 3 weeks and been living on iron pills.  Enough is enough.  I'm hoping a few weeks of pain will give me my LIFE back again.  Now that you've been thru it, any regrets?  Was it horrendous?
