The easy bruising that is associated with Hepatitis C is caused by low platelets.
If you have low platelets, it would show on a simple blood test ("Platelet Count")
It would also show up on another simple blood test ("PT") (Prothrombin Time)
In other words----
Hepatitis can cause low platelet counts.
Low platelet counts can cause a high prothrombin time.
A high prothrombin time = easy bruising
It is not uncommon to bruise like that. and yes, it can turn yellow. This does not mean you have Hep-C. If you are concerned, get tested. Bruising while it is healing, can make it turn yellow.
