Hepatosplenomegaly with diffuse hepatocellular disease

I have been diagnosed with hepatosplenomegaly with diffuse hepatocellular disease.  I know the first part means both my liver and spleen are enlarged.  My liver is 28 cm and my spleen is 17 cm.  I have had 2 critical platelet drops in the last 2 years.  One month ago my platelets dropped to 6,000 and I spent a week in the hospital.  I have a history of enlarged lymph nodes and have variously been diagnosed with lymphoma and sarcoidosis over the last 4 to 5 years.  After many lymph node biopsies and a bone marrow biopsy, lymphoma was ruled out.  The jury is still out on sarcoid.  I have no lung involvement other than a calcified granuloma in my right lung and no skin disorders.  I have been diagnosed with non-caseating granulomas in my lymph nodes.  Does this new diagnosis today as a result of a liver/spleen scan mean I have liver cancer?  I am being referrred to a GI specialist for a possible liver biopsy on Feb 9th.  I am very scared and need an idea of what I am looking forward to.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
