Hey! Do I have an ulcer?

Hello everyone.

For the past 4 days I've felt a pain in my gut, to the right of the naval.  It isn't really a huge pain, just a discomfort.  It comes and goes.  I did some research on ulcers and found that they tend to be most painful when you have an empty stomach.  The pain did seem greater when I was on a empty stomach.

But if this is an ulcer I'm confused.  I'm confused because I don't smoke, or drink, and I did take some Ibuprofen for pain like 6 months ago.  It was only for like a week.  So I doubt it was the Ibuprofen but I have been under a lot of stress.  Medical science still is very controversial about chronic stress inducing ulcers, but that would be the only reason why I would have one.

It may also just be muscle tension, but I don't know.  Most people I spoke with told me that the first sign of an ulcer would be heart burn, but I haven't had any yet.  So I'm thinking I could be in the beginning stages, maybe?

I'm 23 male, and again I only drank alcohol once this year, and I don't smoke or take Ibuprofen(Other than for a week 6 months ago).

Thanks.

it sounds like your stomach is too acidic right now.  You should try taking some tums or something like that in the morning and throughout the day.  What happens with an ulcer I'm told is that your stomach gets too acidic and burns a sore in the side, hence pain.  Definitely go see a doctor if it gets bad.

Okay, today I had chest pain... I don't think it was burning but more like the feeling you get when you're hunched over for too long, or as if you ate really quickly.

I burped up some stomach acid too.  That was scary cause now I seriously think I have an ulcer.  I'm going to the doctor tommorrow.

Is ulcer curable?
