surgery for hiatus hernia. This was the second surgery the first being done 6 years previously by keyhole surgery.
After the surgery had tremendous pain when the surgeon cut
me open which is just below the breast bone to above belly button Had tremendous pain sitting up and in infact could not sit upright for more the 10 mins without burning pain. Which was eventually diagnosed as neuropathic pain which was like volcanoe erupting inside me. Now on 3600MG gabepentin and also had problems with left leg, could never lift this after the surgery, it was absolutely fine before the surgery. Neurologist has now diagnosed as compressed femoral
which is totally agony at times, the gabepentin is the one med. that will move my leg, when I have tried to reduce this in the past my leg just does not move
The surgeon decided he had maybe stitched this up in a way which did not agree with me so about 4 months ago I was opended up again and it seemed slightly better but now the pain has returned. I was told to try and reduce the gabepentin but at the moment this is impossible. He keeps telling me I have to exercise the abdominal muscles which I try to do with the weights at the gym which are not heavy at all but wonder if this is increasing the pain ??
I am practically disabled after this surgery, limp about everywhere and if have to walk any distance that have to be supported by crutch.
