Hida Scan

Well, I had the Hida scan done yesterday, the dr ordered it with the cck also.  No other injections were given besides the 1st one with the radioactive stuff in it.  After 1 hour, I had to drink some milkshake like substance and then they took pictures after that also.  Did the drink have the same effect as the cck or did they forget to do that part?  Thanks

hi, and i hope everything comes back okay. i imagine it to be the same. i had an injection of cck put through an iv. did the milkshakey stuff emulate symptoms for about 2 minutes? such as nausea and cramping? i don't imagine they forgot to do it, the particular place you got it done may do it that way. i had one done about a month ago, and would willingly do the test again, despite the slight discomfort. my test revealed my gallbladder to functioning at a lazy 20%, so mines gotta get yanked out, but hopefully yours reveals a better prognosis!
