High AST and ALT

by vet1988, Sep 29, 2008 04:27PM
I have had 5 blood tests and my AST was as low as 30 and as high as 106.  It currently is 42.  My ALT has been 51-74 and currently is 73.  My cholesterol is 239, 138 LDL and 349 Trig.  My doctor wants me to see a gastroenterologist before he will put me on cholesterol pills.  I am 46, in good health and about 20 pounds over.  I exercise and drink moderatelly.  I was on trileptical and lamictal for 3 years for TNA and lamisil for nail disease, but it has been 9 months since I took anything,  Should I be alarmed?
