Holy Crap!

I had no idea that anyone else on the planet had anything similar to what I have endured for the past 3-4 years.  I am sad there are so many going thru the same or similar things, but at the same time it's good to know I'm not alone.  I have always been very healthy and had excellent digestive health.  But about 4 years ago I ate at a popular restaurant in Vegas and got deathly ill immediately after eating.  I found a GNC in a mall there and bought some liquid acidophilus and drank the whole bottle at once.  It stopped the diarrhea for the rest of the trip and the 10 hour drive home...but ever since I have had trouble with my digestion.  I don't know if I ate a tapeworm at in my hamburger in Vegas or what???  It comes and goes, sometimes I am fine and other times I have to clear my entire schedule to stay in the bathroom.  I can't commit to be anywhere at any given time because I never know when it's going to hit me.  Geesh.

I can totally relate to all of you who have mentioned not being able to go shopping because it hits worst in stores...amen.  I haven't been able to shop (my former favorite thing...now dreadful) since 2004...well it's better on the credit cards this way, right?  haha

I have had two pregnancies since then...one failed, and the next was successful and I have a beautiful, perfectly healthy normal baby.  But thru the entire pregnancy I had chronic diarrhea and couldn't go anywhere at all.  It seemed to be magnified during pregnancy.  Since baby was born, I have still had issues with either pencil-thin soft stools or diarrhea.  It tends to be worse if I am under stress, but it even hits on vacation when I am relaxed.

I have been to doctors and they do nothing for me.  Their stupid anal probing and needles get us nowhere to a solution to the problem, or even finding the real problem for that matter.  I have taken supplements that seem to work most of the time, from acidophilus to probiotic flora supplements.  However, the last ones I took made the diarrhea worse, and they were supposed to be the best bioflora product on the market.

I just read on a website about a colon detox herbal cleansing supplement that helps you to clear everything blocked up inside your bowels.  I wonder if I just have some blockage that makes it difficult to get it all to pass thru?  Or could it be a parasite or tapeworm???  Even the doctors don't know.  The cleanse sounds like it would be ideal because it also kills bad bacteria and pathogens and replaces them with good flora bacteria.  Has anyone on here tried that cleanse or anything like it?

I guess intuition is our only bet, eh??

This discussion is related to Diarrhea, loose stool for over 6 weeks.  What is wrong with me?.
