I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. Since then, I have had serious bowel issues. Everything I eat gives me diarreha with in 15 minutes of finishing the meal. I don't always finish before I get sick. I have also put on 50 pounds since the surgery. My eating habits are better now than before the surgery and I am just as active as I was 2 years ago. Since the surgery, I will occasionally get the pain that I had when I would have gallbladder attacks.
Yesterday, I splurged and had a fattier dinner than I normally would and since then have been in HORRIBLE pain. It is the same type as when I had the gallbladder attacks except for that it is across my entire upper abdomin (abdomen).
What I want to know is...
I've heard that people can sometimes have stones in the pancreas... how commonCommon cold is this? IF I did have stones in my pancreas, what type of test would show this? When I was having gallbladder attacks, it went undiagnosed for 3 months. I had test after test that showed no stones and that my gallbladder was functioning normally. Finally after 3 months and several trips to the ER, a test showed the gallbladder was completely nonfunctioning and it was removed the next day. After the gallbladder was taken out, there were close to 60 stones found. How do I know that if I have another test to look for remaining stones that they will even show up?!
Also, any thoughts on the weight gain? It's really become a huge issue for me. I try so hard to watch what I eat and be active and nothing happens. I've heard other people that have had the same issue. Is there some type of vitamin or supplement that can be taken to aidAids Aids - resources Early symptomatic hiv infection in the digestion process and possibly help with this??
