Hot Flashes after eating meals

The other day I went to the emergency room for the following symptoms: 1. Dull achey (achy) pain in my upper back, No stomach pain. Felt like a flu but much worse, and nausea. I felt this way all day but got much worse after eating KFC. I have history of gallstones. The hospital labs (including CT & ultrasound) came back negective for any inflamation (inflammation) of the GB and no bile duct dilation. Blood and urine are fine. I did have one valid textbook gallblater attack a year ago. One note: I have had a constant upper back & neck ache for 2 weeks prior to this bad episode. My question is do I get my gallblatter removed after reading all the posts regarding problems post surgery?
   All that I do no is I have 3 stones and this latest attack might be either a very sore shoulder (spasms) or an actual GB attack. I would like to hear some opinions from you out there since I respect you all for what you have experienced!

I would get a hida scan and see how your gallbladder is working.  Regardless of the pain I still have, my gallbladder needed to come out.  I'm still not sure yet if having the bad gallbladder didn't cause additional problems, but at least it can't anymore.

...............Sure sounds like a Acute Pancreatitis, say, Can anyone tell me what the life expectancy for an individual whos recently been diagnosed with Colon Cancer?

Comment to inalotofpain:  My dad had colon cancer, after he was diagnosed with it, (blockage and emergency surgery) he lived approx. 3 more years.  He was 72 when he was diagnosed and 75 when he died.  We have no way of knowing how long he had the cancer before the blockage.  Doctors at the time would not even give us a prognosis as to how long he had to live so your question to us lay people is a very touchy one.  Just thought I would pass on my own personal experience with it.
