How much alcohol consumption does it take to get cirrhossis

by AF, Jan 15, 2002 12:00AM
I'm a 39 year-old white male, 6' 210 lbs (and losing slowly). I've booked an doctor's appointment for March and am curious as to how much alcohol you have to consume to come up with liver disfunction?  Could gallstones interfere with the results?

i think a lot over a fairly long period of time....i think alcholic cirrhossis is considered a chronic disease, however,  my brother died of hemochromotosis....the symptom he presented with was acute cirrhossis.
